Wars take the lives millions of wild animals every year. In Ukraine, russia’s full-scale invasion has already damaged or destroyed more than 30% of the country’s natural areas. Over 600 animal and plant species listed in the Red Book of Ukraine are under threat due to military operations. War - is an ecological disaster. If we do nothing, we risk losing unique animal and plant species, forests, clean rivers, and entire ecosystems for generations to come. To protect nature, we must end the war, clear landmines, restore forests and wetlands, and help wildlife recover by making it possible for animals to move freely and safely repopulatetheir native lands.
